The Peja Court had recently rejected the request of indictees' attorneys Hamza and Isuf Abazaj for dropping the indictment.
Father and son, Isuf and Hamza Abazaj were charged by the Constitutional Prosecution for serious murder, injuries and assistance in committing the criminal offence of the serious murder to take place on February 24, 2017, in Pec.
Hamza Abazaj was charged with killing Ibrahim Neziright and wounding Blerta Neziright, while his father, Isufi, was accused of helping him commit the criminal offence of serious murder and participating in beatings.
And as Indesksonline learns, just today, 21-year-old Hamza Abbasaj has passed away at the Dubrava Corresponding Center.
This has even been confirmed by a family member who says that the news of the young man's death, Hamza Abbasaj, received it over the phone from the Dubrava Correct Center.
Also, according to the same source, a procedure for examination of the corpse is expected tomorrow to be carried out to know the cause of his death.
It should be added that at previous hearings, Muharrem Hoti, Hamza Abazaj's lawyer, had filed a written request for the indictment to the court judge, Sali Berisha argued that there is evidence of the existence of circumstances that rule out the defendant's criminal responsibility.
He was called into psychiatric expertise done to his client, where he said he found himself having and still has psychological problems.
The reasoning of attorney Hoti was that his defense had received 70 medical visits to the Swedish country from 2014 to 2017.
Indexline has also tried to receive an answer from Kosovo Prisons Director Sokol Zogaj about the case, but the latter has not responded.
It should be added that even over the past year, a person had lost his life inside the prison in Prizren, exactly the activist of the Vetevendosje Movement, Astrit Dehari. /Indesksonline/
