Minister Bedri Hamza announced that he has made a decision today to forward to the Government Administrative Decisions and Guides, which will be finalised during October, as they begin to produce material effects from January 01th 2018, when the fiscal year begins.
Freedoms from customs tax for all producers of our country who are authorised by the Kosovo Tax Administration for the right to postpone the VAT.
For this reason today all releases from customs and excise taxes concern the field of productivity assistance with this case:
1. It has been released from customs tax, the first item used in the production process.
2. They are released from the customs tax half products used in the production process.
3. Released from customs taxes are all the lines of manufacturing machines used in manufacturing spaces.
4. They are released from customs taxes on information technology.
5. They are released from excise taxes to all producers regardless of whether they import themselves or through contractors for all energy sources used as aids in the production process:
Mazuti,
b) Gas,
c) Oil, etc.
6. It will be proposed to the Government that I approve Administrative Guide for the Marking of flour, which is set free in the market of the Republic of Kosovo.
According to Minister Bedri Hamza, this is the first step of fiscal policy measures, which have been harmonised with business requirements.
Besides the first subject, we've released half the products that are used in the process of production on all production lines used in the production process by producers. And excise taxes release all energy sources used as manufacturing aids. So not only mazuti is released but we release from excise tax for all energy sources, mazut, gas, oil, etc.” the minister Hamza added.
He also made it known that “all these measures of release from customs tax and excise tax will help our country's productivity and make us a more attractive market for foreign investment”.
The Consultative Council has also been established today as a formal business communication mechanism. The council will bring a sincere spirit of co-operation between the Ministry of Finance and Business, will be a transparency tool for any decision to be made on the part of the Ministry of Finance that concerns business life in Kosovo” Minister Hamza added.
