Chinese authorities plan to provide conditions for the use of bioethanol fuel across the country by 2020, the National Commission for Development and Reform said on Wednesday, as well as the National Energy Administration (AKM).
Under the programme for development and production, Chinese authorities plan to create an advanced bioethanol fuel production system that is in line with international standards, as well as infrastructure necessary for its use nationwide
The programme also envisions plans to ensure reliable protection for bioethanol supplies and control over its production.
Authorities will encourage innovation in the area, and will take active measures aimed at popularising bioethanol fuel use in drivers.
The increased production of biofuels based on ethanol is strategically important for China, as such actions will contribute to energy infrastructure and more would have less environmental pollution.
Also, the extensive use of bioethanol is expected to contribute to the development of agriculture and the economy of Chinese regions.
China launched its wheat projects for ethanol in the 2000s, in an effort to lower emissions and further the use of alternative energy sources./Periscopi/
