CEC is clearing lists for October 22nd local elections

Cleaning the voter list contributes to a regular election process, civil society says, KTV reports.

However, its members criticize the process so far.

Alban Krasniqi recommends that in the future the removal of the names of dead persons be automatically made from the voters' list.

And in the Pristina municipality so far no citizen has presented dead family members for them to get off the list, though on average two persons a day in the capital change lives.

But, CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi has said the number of names of dead persons who have left the voter list after the June 11th elections will be known correctly after the final list is certified.
