The chairman of the Electronic and Post Communications Regulatory Authority (ARKEP), Kreshnik Gashi, has told Kosovo Press that they are analyzing this phenomenon together with local and Montenegrin operators.
According to him, if these calls continue, many regulators along with Kosovo's Telekom operator, in co-operation with Montenegro, will block these calls.
“We are analyzing this phenomenon together with our operators and that of Montenegro. Citizens are not taxed even if they accept any calls, except for the time they are in roaming, abroad. According to Kosovo's Telekom operator, it is not the large number of these calls, but if such disturbing calls are accepted, Telekom, along with the operators and together with Montenegrin regulator colleagues, we will block the numbers from which these calls --” come, Gashi said through an electronic response.
Gashi has also said the ARKEP will announce the results of the analysis and steps it will take. He has dismissed suspicions that this phenomenon has to do with the Sim-to-sum phenomenon.
