The house where Joseph Fritzl kept his daughter closed for 24 years has been rebuilt. The building in Amstetten, Austria, was converted by its new owners, Ingrid and Herbert Housska, who bought it for 160 thousand euros last December. Whether the new residents of this building are aware of [...]

Whether the new residents of this building are aware of the horror within these walls, where Fritzl kept his daughter Elizabeth locked in the basement and raped her more than 3 thousand times.

This led to the birth of his seven children.

But despite the terrible history of this property, all residential floors in it have been rented and prices range from 392 to 800 euros.

The owner of this building, Houska, said that the daily “Metro” found the house to be the best way to leave behind its dark past.
It's time to move on. I think something nice has come up and the past is buried. Many of the residents have commended me and are happy,”.

However, the basement where Elizabeth was kept closed for 24 years is prohibited from being used by Amstetten authorities.

Elisabeth was only 18 years old when her sick father put her in the basement, where she was being drugged and raped constantly.
Fritzl told his wife that her daughter had left home and had joined a cult

The basement was isolated, causing him to keep his daughter hidden for 24 years.
During this period, she produced seven children. One of them died shortly after his birth and disappeared from Fritzl, three of the children were brought to their homes to live with him and his wife Rosemary.

He told this latter that the children were Elizabeth's and that she had left them at the door of the house because she could not care for them.

The other three children were kept in the isolated basement. They were between 5 and 19 years of age when they were released and would see sunlight for the first time in 2008.
