“I your son Kosovo” is one of the poetry of poet Ali Podrima, often recited and published on social networks by citizens of the country, when they want to express love, commitment and patriotism for the state that does not have a decade of life.
But it seems that the first version of this poem was different.
Poetry was dedicated to Kosovo, but not to that name, rather than to it as a state. It was dedicated to him as the Wing in the former Yugoslav Framework, entitled “I am your son, Metohija”, writes Periscope.
Politologist Fatlum Sadiku has published on Facebook a book by poet Podrima with the title “Lili and our freedom”, where in all his poetry, Kosovo poet refers to as “Metohija”.
And the poet's other poem, called “Wake Kosovo” was originally written “Wake up Metohija”, but now it's recited as “Wake Kosovo”
It is known that by the time Kosovo was part of Yugoslavia, the demand for liberation and independence was heavily sanctioned by Yugoslav authorities through persecution methods.
There were also those who openly sought the right of Albanians to self - determination, but there were also those who did otherwise, as did the poet Podrima. /Periscopi/
