President Thaci: The transformation of KSF is unstoppable

President Thaci stressed that bilateral visits are very important to advance co-operation between the two states in all areas.

Our reports with the U.S. will be special forever. Our co-operation with Iowa is just reflecting these reports. This co-operation is strengthening our state”, President Thaci stressed.

Co-operation between the American National Guard and the Kosovo Security Forces has also been discussed at this meeting.

President Thaci has said that the transformation of the KSF into the military is Kosovo's constitutional right, emphasising that no one can veto veto and that this transformation is unstoppable.

“We will move in a coordinated way on the transformation of KSF”, he added.

On the other hand, Major General Timothy Orr has said that the partnership between the guard and KSF is very powerful and will continue with various training and support programmes for the KSF.

With the Ioua delegation, President Thaci has also talked about exchanges in the field of education, agriculture and other areas.

He has thanked Secretary for Agriculture Bill Northey, as well as other members of the group for the support Iowa has given Kosovo in the field of agriculture.

The president has said that even students who have finished and are continuing their studies at the Iowa universities will return to support Kosovo's development.

He has also welcomed the delegation's idea to open an Iowa Office in Kosovo, which would facilitate even more communication and co-operation between the two countries.
