The current chairman, says thousands of citizens have so far provided signatures supporting his candidacy for Mitrovica chairman.
Bahtiri says he worked hard during his mandate, so as he says he deserves to continue with Mitrovica's rule.
“Of course I'll rerun even for a term for Mitrovica chairman. Citizens have asked me to be their chairman and have made thousands of signatures, so I also ask for their vote for support”, he said in a pronomination for Indexline.
He says he has done extraordinary work in this municipality, so he expects citizens' support.
“I've done an extraordinary job during this time in Mitrovica, I've made a lot of changes and I think that citizens will vote to continue on for another” mandate, Bahtiri stressed.
Otherwise, Bahtiri was the candidate for deputy from the AKR ranks under the coalition with the LDK. It is still unknown whether it has managed to secure the MP's mandate in the Kosovo Assembly.
