Husnain Rashid, 31, is said to have called against the four-year-old prince on the app that terrorists use to communicate.
On a court hearing in London, prosecutors also confirmed that he planned to travel to Syria to join the ISIS, while the militant group struggles to preserve the terrain it has occupied.
Rashid appeared at the dock in a grey garment and glasses and spoke only to confirm his name and address.
He is accused of preparing acts of terrorism and also of assaulting the Jewish community and British stadiums.
