He has stressed that the court has ruled for custody only to punish, persecute, and deny them the possibility of exercising public duties.
On the other hand, he says detention is aimed at preventing influence on suspects and preventing their arrival, which Kurti and Kadaj would not.
In the case of Albin and Donique, there is no suspicion of escape, much less for influence in witnesses (because witnesses are sworn and undisputed opponents like Camishi, Kadri Veseli, Blerta Deliu... And the case doesn't even need witnesses.” he writes among other things on Facebook.
The following is his full post:
Keeping in custody is meant to secure two things:
- Prevention of the suspect's influence on potential witnesses
- Preventing possible escape from suspects.
In the case of Albin and Donique, there is no question of escape, much less for influence in witnesses (because witnesses are sworn and undisputed opponents like Camishi, Kadri Veseli, Blerta Deliu...). And there's no need for witnesses.
So the only reason to be held in custody, is to face punishment, persecution, denial of the possibility of carrying out public duties! Using the size of detention as the purpose itself constitutes human rights violations, if nothing else!
