Ramush Haradinaj is staying on a visit to Brussels, where he is meeting with senior EU officials at a informal dinner with Balkan leaders, but before going there, two things were promising.
Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has told RTK on 14 December that visa liberalisation will happen in March of next year. Also, according to him, the Kosovo Army will be formed this same month. But it seems that this promise will not be possible at this time.
Serbian List Chairman, Deputy Prime Minister Dalibor Yevtic has told him DW that his party, even though it has excellent co-operation with Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, cannot hope in Serbian MPs' votes for the establishment of the military.
“We are against the formation of the military and this stance will not change”, Jevtic said, Inseder reported.
Without the votes of the Serbian List, transforming the Kosovo Security Force into the Army is impossible even through the Kosovo Constitution.
Therefore Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj will find it difficult to convince the Serbian List from this strictly opposing stance to vote for military formation.
