Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said today that Serbia is “an example of good neighbourly relations” and that, despite “goditation”, it is following a policy of reconciliation.
He underlined that Serbia is a self-independent <x0 country that follows a policy of neutrality” and that the government's “work is to ensure that the country is strong and respected and that it can be protected”, reports “Vestinet”, the Periscopi broadcast.
“We are not neutral as Switzerland, but we are following a policy of military neutrality, which means we are not members of any military alliance, our military co-operation may be equal to all countries,” said Dacic.
Asked whether Serbia would be able to preserve this policy, Dacic said he would like US President Donald Trump to come to Serbia and remember that the last one in Belgrade was Jimmy Carter.
The minister added that <x0 messages can be sent to several quasi-states in the world, and that in terms of Serbia, Serbia wants good relations with the United States. ”
“In recent months, Serbia's president has met almost all major citizens in the world, Serbia has gone a step further into EU integration, wants new friendships, new partnerships and he will not neglect old friends, the relations we want to develop,” he said./Periscopi/
