Albanian Vetevendosje Drama

The Vetevendosje movement in Kosovo is passing the first test of its political maturity, facing a confrontation of a group of Movement leaders, with Albin Kurti's authoritarian profile. It is a story that has passed every political party in Albania, Kosovo and the world. It's not even a big drama ending history, nor a big victory if you get out of the party <x0... your enemies.

In the concrete case, there is an extreme frustration of the pro- Albin Kurt militants with images of “Vestepe” that are lined up in defense of Aida Drcgut, which is being expelled from “VETTE” that he offended Kurti. Detaj is banal, but the problem of partition is real and it is a test whether Vetevendosje will exceed the pattern of Albanian parties or not.

To date it is considered the new most efficient political force in Albanian space, as it has always come growing and based firmly on a leftist ideology, on solidarity and respect among members.

Its ruling involvement in Pristina, and this time and in Prizren, seems to have caused Vetevendosje to pass the age of political puberty, and to face real politics.

All the people involved in the debate are not saying anything new. The only one who can say something new is Albin Kurti. The new one that he may say is telling his militants, conspiracy theories, paranoids who look at enemies and others who are in ecstasy, that someone would get the party, that for him there are no such problems.

Albin Kurti is a mortal like everyone else, a vulnerable man who himself has tried to turn equality with his citizen into political inspiration. Someone who sells and the house to feel homeless like other citizens cannot set up a concrete bunker around himself, lest someone offends or attacks him.

So Albin Kurt's word at this point is all that's worth. It's worth more to Albin Kurt than the rest of us. We're used to politicians like this Albin forged his militants. The politician we missed is Albin we hoped he was.

Clearly, some of Vetevendosje's leaders do not love Albin Kurt and that is all. It's not the end of the world. There is a group in every party that does not want the leader and faces him. She's also a party asset. Albin Kurti must prove whether he will act like all the traditional Albanian leaders, such as Berisha, Rugova, Nano, Thaci, etc., who are leading opponents or trying to co-exist with them. Will they follow the pattern of Albanians, such as Ben Blushi, since when there is a deputy chairman and 4 members, they replace the vice president as agents, or Western models, that even when the division is serious and secular, survive as equals.

That's all of our drama and our efforts to learn whether Albin is a new leader in Albanian space, or just a leader who was born a little later than other leaders and is walking in their footsteps.

If he exceeds himself and his militants' efforts to keep him at “Bunker of the Great Leader”, then he has increased the power of Vetevendosje, not only as a party but as a political model. If not, then the tradition of other Albanian politicians will continue.

“Replace” is a project of his own, an inspiration of his and a model of his. But that does not mean that others are worthless. His critics are people who have their own personality and no doubt contribute to that party, but confronting Kurt will, of course, remove them from the party if authoritarian spirit and Kryptonism dominate the party.

Albin is at a time when critics do him a favor, and his worshipers are hurt. And the fact that he will choose depends greatly on who the others will be. The film of the elimination of hostile groups is a movie seen several times in Albanian space. The new news will be whether, in Vetevendosje, domestic democracy, different thinking and co-existence will legitimise. The opposite is not new news, but rather very old, and makes no difference with other parties. He's one of them. It's part of the Albanian political drama.
