The Regional Autocrime Unit, under the Regional Directorate in Mitrovica, has identified 286 cars with suspected documentation during 2017.
The identification of these cars has been made on the basis of concrete plans to prevent illegal activities, where all performance has been accomplished through the control of several different locations, where vehicle trading and parts were mainly exercised.
Of these checks has resulted in the identification of 286 cars, some of them even disassembled, whose documentation does not work in the regular system of customs duties.
All these identified cars were allegedly imported from European states. All documentation of these cars encountered in persons in possession has been handed over to the customs authorities in Mitrovica for further procedures.
Investigations into the verification of the backgrounds of these cars, their status, the countries from which they came, have been made on the country and internationally through I LECUs in Pristina.
While police investigators authorising the Constitutional Prosecution in Mitrovica, over the persons owned by cars have initiated 12 criminal cases.
