Over 250 thousand Albanians employed in Italy

According to the data, behind Albanians in second place in the number of employees, the Moroccans rank at 225 thousand employed and in third place ranks Chinese citizens with 203 thousand employed.
But besides making up the largest number of employees, Albanians are also one of the largest economic communities in Italy. According to the “Leone Moresa” Foundation, Albanian citizens working in Italy report an average of 3.5 billion to 3.7 billion euros in revenue annually.
That figure is exactly the total state budget or 30 percent of Albania's national production. Migrants are an important economic resource, not only for the host country, which contributes to national production and state crates through taxes but also for origin.
According to official data from the Bank of Albania, in the past ten years, Albanian immigrants working and living abroad have sent over 7 billion euros to their families in Albania. The majority of them have come from only two countries -- Italy and Greece -- where the largest number of displaced Albanians is found.
