The Vetevendosje movement has given the ultimatum to the Kosovo government in connection with the death of its activist, Astrit Dehar, a year ago at the prison cell in Prizren.
During the protest march on an anniversary of Dehar's death, Vetevendosje has introduced a banner into the government court, in which it writes: The government of the Republic of Kosovo has deadlines to meet these requirements by February 5th 2018.
Among the demands is the allowing and launching of independent and comprehensive investigations under the request of the Dehari Family and the lawyer.
The next request is dismissal from official positions to pave the way for investigations by these officials: Gift Hoxha (former Justice Minister, now Minister of Integration), Shpend Maxhun (Police Director General), Nexmi Krasniqi (Central Police Commander in Prizren) and Fatos Makolli (Dist Terrorism Unit Director).
While, in a post in “Facebook”, Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, promised that Justice for Astrit Deharin would happen.
Prime Minister Haradinaj: And I am Astri, and justice will happen.
Meanwhile, protest march has been organised today on an anniversary of Astrit Dehar's death.
During the march, justice was demanded for Astriti, who died in Prizren's prison cell under circumstances still well clarified on November 5, 2016.
Dehar was being held at Prizren's Pre- Jail Centre as suspected of assaulting explosive vehicles against the Kosovo Government object on the night of August 4, 2016.
