Although he did not win Pristina without a run-off, he is happy with the support and votes he received. He says it's not Pristina Pasha, but he's a citizen servant. This is Pristina chairman Shpend Ahmeti, who is convinced he will lead the capital and on a mandate.
He in an interview for Kosovo Preress has said it is already easier to govern, as it will have the majority in the municipal assembly and that there will be no more blockades for it, as it has in the past four years.
Ahmeti says he has not been disappointed that he failed to win Pristina without a run-off, but adds that he is happy with the fact that he has received 39 thousand votes and that he has the extraordinary support of citizens.
According to him, despite the blockades they had, major projects have been achieved. While stating that after the blockades are over, hope and support for the Government, for different projects for Pristina.
Ahmeti also invites Government to assist in the projects, for the next mandate, as he says, this is not a city of political subject but of all citizens.
While denying they reached agreement with the AKR, as stated in the media days ago, it is important that they continue co-operation after November 19th, with the parties with which they have co-governed so far.
He has also denied all charges that have come to his address from the LDK and its leader, Isa Mustafa, under which Ahmeti has travelled in private aircraft. In fact, he says that he has prepared the indictment for this slander and that they will no longer endure such slander because they have become excessive.
Asked whether he will be disappointed if he cannot rule Pristina and for the next four years, he says he is not concerned with himself, but with Pristina, which should not return to the hands of those who destroyed him.
Ahmeti has spoken of and about the stadium that eventually became a loud noise as far as the site will be built. He says he wants to fight with all his strength for the stadium to be built in the capital.
Ahmeti says he will continue public transport reform to the city hospital. Five new schools. In contrast, different property treatment and Pristina after four years will be a city and more normalised.
