German investigators believe the medical technician who for two murders has been sentenced to life imprisonment has probably killed more than 100 patients.
The Oldenburg Public Prosecutor and police have reportedly investigated the bodies of patients who died in two local hospitals at the time that Neils Hegel was working on them and that another 16 cases in which they were suspected were over.
In August it has been said that it is possible for Hegel to kill another 84 patients except those for whom he was convicted.
Nils Hegel gave patients excessive doses of heart medication because he felt that he could resurrect them.
The prosecution expects the new indictment to rise against him early in 2018.
