KEK workers continue to work with similar salaries and pending the realization of this promise.
The chairman of the new KEK Workers Union, Rafet Osmani, said they have protested before the government on August 2nd and November 1st.
We have had meetings on September 7th, and even in the following meetings, we have been promised that this increase will occur more precisely in January's” salaries, Osmani said.
The union has decided to suspend the strike until 15 February. If they don't get the January salaries by increasing, then 4,800 KEK workers can go on strike.
Kohavision has requested an answer from the prime minister's office on this promise, but its officials now say KEK is public enterprise and that workers' salaries are not covered by the state budget.
The KEK workers' subx0... The necessary instructions for this have been given, and this issue has been resolved”, said Halil Matoshi, chief of the Office for Information at the Prime Minister's Office.
KEK spokesman Skender Bucolli has said they have not accepted any decision by the government to raise workers' salaries.
