Albania's President Ilir Meta made his decision public after meeting with him today.

According to the announcement distributed by the presidency, Meta stresses that the dialogue between the Academy of Sciences and Government should be restored as soon as possible.

Edi Rama has hit the Academy of Sciences several times, saying it must be reformed and that it is misusing funds that are awarded for her studies, writes Lacy.al.

Rama was against the elections that took place at this institution for its leader, where a few months ago Gudar Beqiray was elected.

He recently indicated that funds for the Academy of Sciences would be cut off.
