Witness: This is when Limaj and I went to the bodies.

In the war crimes trial against Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Limaj, three witnesses have testified. The Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo is accusing the former KLA commander of killing two civilians -- Ramiz Hoxha from Bellanica and Selman Binish from Banja Luka -- on October 2, 1998.

Skender Hoti, Ejup Hoxha and Imer Hoxha were the next three witnesses in the process known as “Bellanica”.

Witness Skender Hoti, who said he was commander of the “Chelic 5”, has confessed to the Gjakova Court at the moment he was with Limaj at “Shupa” of Banja and when two people had arrived and asked if they had seen a car in which someone was in it.

Hoti said that there were two civilians killed along with Limaj.

He also related how and why he had taken the rifle of a civilian who had been found near corpses.

I can't know in detail. It wasn't near the corpses, but I asked that civilian first if you were a soldier he said no. And when I asked him whose gun it was, he answered me: the soldier's, and I took the gun and I put it in the vehicle and this civilian man told him to tell that soldier that the gun could take it to me in the village of Pèreza”, said witness Skender Hoti.

Hoti showed that Ramiz Hoxha and Selman Binish's remains were joined by defendant Fatmir Limaj.

Later in the Evidence Court gave Ejup Hoxha, who along with the son of the late Ramiz Hoxha, Enver, were after masked persons who had taken Ramiz Hodza by car.

During his testimony, Ejupi said he does not recognise Fatmir Limaj.

The victim's <x0-boy, Enver, came by vehicle and I and Enver went after them to where we met the dead lifeless... I can't remember Enver had a rifle with him, and I don't know if there were any rifles on the corpse”, he added.

When asked by special prosecutor, Drita Hajdari, if she saw him at the scene, on the corpses, Fatmir Limaj, Ejup Hoxha said she didn't know him and didn't see him. The first time I see it now”, Ejup Hoxha said.

The third witness was Imer Hoxha, the imam of Bellanica, who, according to testimony given by Ramiz Hodza's brother, Hajriz, on the Kosovo “Justice show“, had wanted to take the masked persons with them.

During the testimony, the witness said that he could not speak much of the matter because he didn't see it with his own eyes.

I was in the mosque that day. I'm the last person left the mosque. I've seen with my own eyes since I first entered the mosque and the last one left the mosque. When I left the mosque, I saw people wearing masks and it was a mess. I've seen that story from a distance. So I've seen people in masks talking to the X-ray, but words and conversations don't help”, Bellanica village hoja said.

Also, before yesterday's session began, injured Fadil Hoxha demanded the word by the chairman of the court to ascertain in the process a conversation he had had with Fatmir Limaj's brother during a pause when judicial examination was held in 16,10,2017.

When we were on the second pause, when my uncle was talking to Fatmir Limaj and his brother, because the same witnessed and there was nothing wrong about having talked together, but I saw a person calling a camera and I told him to come here and Fatmir Limaj's brother said: If my brother falls guilty I owe you a blood, and if you don't go out you owe me”, the injured Fadil Hoxha said.

I don't see this as a threat, but I want to inform the Court of this fact and I wanted it to be found in the processor”, Fadil Hoxha added.

Our next sessions were assigned on January 15 and 16, 2018.

Kosovo's special prosecutor on October 28, 2016, pressed charges against Limaj over the murder of two Albanian civilians during the war.

According to Special Prosecutor Ramiz Hoxha from the village of Bellanica and Selman Binishi from the village of Banja, the municipality of Malisheva, on October 2, 1998, were taken near the village mosque of Bellanica and executed at the entrance of the village of Kravasari.

The prosecution in the indictment claims Fatmir Limaj has seen the victims' bodies and has known about the crime committed, but has knowingly taken no measures towards uncovering the perpetrators of this crime and the case has never been submitted to competent bodies for investigation and prosecution.
