The Trump administration has not yet clarified where this money is coming from. Past presidential families that have exceeded the $100,000 fund, including Obama, who spent $1.5m on restoration, according to the NBC Have paid for re-decommunication from their pockets, through donations or funds from the White House Historical Association. As an old building that has a lot of use, the association says maintenance and resemination are common.
But given that President Trump has been followed by accusations that he is not fair with the payments, that price has caused reactions in social media.
According to NBC, much money is spent on is unclear, as the remodeling covers wide office spaces in executive rooms. But some of the money is said to have been spent on furniture and custom dating.
Now, $1.75 million sounds like a heavy fee and it's actually a drop in federal funds of $3.65 trillion, spent only in 2017. Not to mention $1.19 billion spent on police and the protection of the secret service for the Trump family when they travel or go on vacation, which according to reports is too much.
The reported expenditures of Trump are in line with the latest past administrations as well. Obamas spent $1.5m on restoration.
Over the years, presidential families have spent huge sums on the re-launching of the White House, and Trump's renovation expenses do not seem to be wild compared to their ancestors, but it should be thought that there are three more years or maybe 7 years.
