From Albin Kurti

It is rightly said that one of the purposes of righteousness is the restoration of dignity. Five years ago, in Kosovo, the captive and oppressed not only was it a matter of justice, but it had become an example of the greatest injustice on Europe's soil.
Yet, despite this, that world on this day, October 1st, the citizen of Kosovo felt proud and was not ashamed. He had been restored to dignity, had been given the most important thing that makes man stand out from the things around him.
After not a few years of absurd silence in Kosovo had reborn man in all his splendor and splendor.
Relind the Man who was accomplished by crossing himself. He now thought about what he could get, not what he could lose, how he could get better, not how he could get worse. This man testified that reality is always human reality, and that people make the reality by doing it. The born man on October 1st was the Albanian student of the UP. It was this Student Movement Man.
This reborn man was willing to undo himself to make the world around him. He divided it into the last two decades of the last century. It made mention of the time before and after October 1, 1997, these periods that stood in a relationship as well as wish and will: desire like passive conditions and will as active phenomena in a Utilitaristic sense. Desire is waiting, and the will is self-confidence. And when man is confident he waits not. Survival to become insufficient. He wants to live!
On October 1, 1997, the Human Renaissance emerged in cities throughout Kosovo, which were flooded by white rivers, marching calmly and winterly. Those rivers made up the 23,000 UP students and educators who had found themselves seeking their freedom, seeking the unconditional release of the facilities and the occupied university space. The nature of articulating the requirements was nonviolence, which revealed what was not hidden -- the cruel violence of the Serbian state regime.
These student rivers ignored Kosovo political marshes, which, instead of learning from students, prevented them. They did not accept the student order: “breathe like we do!” So they were not breathing and therefore dying. While the students finally perceived otherwise and the way they perceived their own way of existence.
They had inherited a condition they were not due to, but that meant that they would not become the cause of its change. The students felt responsible because they were aware of their options.
Through these opportunities they wanted to solve problems by confronting them, not by ignoring them. They did not live in the past, becoming homesick or in the future hoping. Yet, they lived strongly and deeply in the present, transforming into themselves the act of confronting them with the great difficulties that they sometimes treated as a challenge and never as a barrier. This Student Movement thus became a factor because it was able to change the situation. It constituted developments because it did not believe in any political determinism.
UP Students Organised in Student Movement Through U n SPUPs were not justified for their actions as politicians for their inactions. They justified their actions. And risking their lives became dangerous to the enemy. The students were students because they became such. The mind and courage embedded in the Kosovo student became one.
However, the students were not alone in this movement. They were strongly supported by the oppressed people, and they saved this people who were tired of their inactivity.
At the same time, it cannot be thought not only of October 1st, but also of other protests and the student movement as a whole without thinking of the then-UP rector. Ejup Statovci; you cannot remember them without obtaining them. He was always and always with the students at the protest and always in front of the university, which he devotedly guided with vigilance and represented with dignity and pride. Thanks to his extraordinary contribution UP in the years of '{0}'90 was the only true institution of the occupied Republic of Kosovo. Prof. Ejup Statovci, of course, is the largest intellectual of all time to have had Pristina University.
The student movement of last century is not historically isolated phenomenon. It is the intensifying of people's efforts in their continuation of freedom and infallibility rights. Even this continuation is the meaning of it.
Above all, the great importance of the Student Movement is that it has not been harvested where it was planted. It has hastened the process to freedom, which has not yet been completed. In Kosovo's occupied north, the FXM object continues to be occupied, therefore, confession of Student Movement is not a story of how the goal is fulfilled but, first of all, how it should be targeted.
The born man on October 1, 1997, had dreams but he didn't dream. This is all man needs in life: dreams without dreams.
