Erdogan with this statement declares war not only on Kurds but on Iraq

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has once again rejected the recent referendum in which Iraqi Kurdistan (KRG) had declared independence, questioning Arbil's ties with the controversial Kirkuk province. “Those operating ignoring the region's structure, which consists of many different identities, in hysterical haste and opportunist, [...]
“Those who act ignoring the region's structure, which consists of many different identities, in hysterical haste and opportunist haste, will be punished by history”, Erdogan said, speaking at his 40th meeting with the heads of villages in Ankara's capital on October 18th, reports “Hurriyet Daily Nesa”, Periscopi broadcast.
What are you doing [CRG] Masoud Barzani? He's saying Kyrkuk is mine. How dare he say Kirkuk is of Kurds? Do you have a story in Kirkuk? What are you doing in Kirkuk? Stay in the area where the Iraqi regional administration in the north is doing your job,” he added.
Erdogan also stressed that Turkey's war was against “terrorist groups” in the region, and “against the Kurdish people”.
“We consider Kurds in Iraq and Syria the same as we consider Turks and Arabs,” he said, adding that “neither ethnicity is superior to others”.
Our only concern when fighting The PKK and the DEA is whether someone is a member of those terrorist groups. Turkey is an old friend of Kurds, like its other brothers”, Erdogan said, adding that Ankara “will never tolerate those who support terrorists”.
Meanwhile, he also stated that flights would no longer take place from Turkish territory to Arbil, KRG; reiterated that Ankara from now will handle “alone with Baghdad's legitimate government” over border crossings, airports and oil trade.
“I believe that the people of northern Iraq will speak against the wrong policy [of KRGE], which undermines their peace and prosperity,”, Erdogan added. /Periscopi/
