(2 hours ago)A powerful storm that struck Skopje on Tuesday afternoon left behind major material damage and injured many citizens.
The storm, accompanied by torrential rains and very strong winds, lasted relatively little but caused chaos in the northern Macedonian capital.
According to portal MRTThe storm flooded many houses, the wind knocked out the roofs, broke windows, and damaged vehicles. Meteorologists had warned earlier in the day that severe storms and winds are expected in some parts of Skopje.
According to information reported by Macedonian news agency MIA, a total of 15 injured persons sought assistance in two hospitals. Nine patients were treated at the University Clinic for Traumatology, Ortopedi, Anesthesia, Reaniation, Intensive Attention and Emergency Centre (TOARILUC). The clinic's director, Igor Merdzhanoski, said that two people were seriously injured a woman with a head injury was transferred to Neurozurgji, while another patient has a broken arm.
Other injuries suffered minor injuries and are under medical supervision.

Meteorologists warn that unstable weather will continue.
According to the predictant of the Hydrometeorology Directorate, by Friday the North Macedonia area will be under the influence of wet and unstable air measures, so changing weather with rainfall and thunder is expected.
