(2 hours ago)On Wednesday morning, Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar and Minister of Transport and Investments Dávid Vitézy held a media conference regarding the Railway Development Plan, but prior to its launch an incident, Hungarian media reported.
Magyar and Vitezy arrived at the site of the train conference, but before leaving at the Nyuga railway station in Budapest, they were stopped by a man who spat on the prime minister.
Magyar responded to the man with the words: “I wish you good health”, reported 24.
In the April 2026 parliamentary elections, Magyar's party, Tisza, marked a convincing victory, ending the 16 years of the rule of Victor Orban and Fidesz party.
Before entering politics, he was a lawyer and worked in the state administration. It became known to the general public in 2017, when it broke away from the then ruling establiance and established a political movement that was soon first transformed into the greatest opposition force and then into the country's ruling force.
