EMEs with urgent appeals for care and increased readiness due to weather

The Agency for Emergency Management (AME), based on the early warning of the Kosovo Hydrometeorological Institute (IHMK), has announced that powerful convective developments are expected today, which will bring local storms with thunder, intense rainfall, hail and strong winds.
AME also tells of the major dangers and possible effects of this expected weather.
“Fast local flooding in intense rainfall areas; Injury on objects, vehicles, infrastructure and agricultural cultures, especially from hail and strong winds; Increasing risk of lighting fires as a result of atmospheric downloads; The obstacle to telecommunications systems; The damage to the electronergenetic network and power supply cuts; and, high risk of lightning strikes, with possible consequences for humans and animals”, said AME in the media report.
The Emergency Management Agency has issued some more security guidelines for citizens.
Stay in safe environments during the storm and avoid unnecessary movements; Don't take refuge under high trees or by metal objects and electric pillars. Communication Warning: Adjust speed, and avoid water-covered roads or underpasses; Secure property: Remove or obtain equipment and items on balconys and courtyards that may be damaged by wind or hail. The Fire and Rescue Units, together with Emergency Operations Centres, are on full response alert throughout the country's entire territory”, AME wrote.
