(an hour ago)The incumbent Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, at the opening of the government meeting today spoke, as was. President Albulen Haxhiu spoke on the issue of resignations of Serbian judges.
Saying their resignations had sabotaged the state, Kurti said there is no legal right to tell them to return.
We had political rights to tell you not to go, but we have constitutional and legal rights to tell you back. Their departure has been political, individual, although organised, but the return is legal and constitutional issue”, Kurti said, adding: “There can be no return overlapd to the Constitution of Law”.
Like Haxhiu as well as Kurti asked the Kosovo Judiciary Council to act the same as the Prosecutorial Council against the European Union's calls not to put pressure on the Council's decision making.
“These resignations were addressed long ago by Kosovo Police and days ago even by the KKP. And today, as we expected the KDR to do the same, we realized that the meeting failed in the absence of quorum. We expect such epilogues as well to be received at the next meeting.
Haxhiu at a conference from the presidency, prior to the KDRC's meeting, asked the institution, which during today's collection “respects laws” and submits her proposal for release from office of Serbian judges who had resigned in 2022.
According to Haxhi, the KDR has a legal obligation to hand over to her the names of those who have resigned so that she could be released through decrees.
