Kearns: Paunovic's statements stain Serbia's government

British MP Alicia Kearns has responded to statements by Serbia's Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Snezana Paunovic, who had declared that, instead of Slobodan Milosevic, he would have completed Kosovo's ethnic cleansing in 1998.
Through a post on the social network X, Kearns named Paunovic's support for ethnic cleansing as “a stain for the Government of Serbia”.
“Serbian Minister Snezana Panovovic's shameful support for ethnic cleansing in Kosovo is a stain for Serbia's government”, Kearns wrote.
She stressed that people in their 30s today still remember the atrocities the forces of Slobodan Milosevic's regime committed against them and their families.
There is no attempt to justify this and much less to commend these crimes that can make the world forget what happened in Kosovo”, Kearns said.
At the end of its response, the British MP called for crimes committed in Kosovo not to be forgotten, closing the post with the message: “Never forget”.
