EU calls for leaders in Serbia to refrain from stimulating rhetoric after Serbian Minister for “ethnic cleansing” in Kosovo

The European Union has called for politicians in Serbia to refrain from stimulating statements and respect obligations from normalising reports with Kosovo. The EU's spokeswoman for foreign policy, Anita Hyper, has said this by responding to the question regarding a minister's statement in Serbia's Government, Snezana Paunovic, that she, as if she were in Slobodan Milosevic's position, “would do ethnic cleansing in Kosovo”.
KOHA has asked the European Commission whether such a declaration is in line with the positive assessment the European Commission has made for Serbia and with the assessment that Serbia is behaving constructively even in dialogue for normalisation of reports with Kosovo.
“We do not want to comment comments. But I am happy to give you our main position and key principle that there should be no place in Europe for rhetoric, justification or lack of ethnic cleansing”, Anita Hyper has replied.
Such statements are contrary to values of human dignity, reconciliation, accountability and good inter-resident reports on which the EU is built. They also go against the obligations Serbia has made under the EU facilitated dialogue for normalising reports with Kosovo. So we expect all leaders to refrain from any promotional rhetoric and contribute to an environment of confidence and stability in the region”, this European Commission spokeswoman has said.
From the European Commission, they have said that the recent positive assessment they had made for Serbia had taken on specific conditions for group-capital 3 and by this assessment did not say that “everything is in order in Serbia”. But in that assessment, with which the European Commission has tried to persuade EU states to open chapters with Serbia, positive appreciation for Serbia's commitment to the process of normalising reports with Kosovo has also been given.
The EU has repeatedly urged that genocide not be denied, that war crimes not be related, and that war crimes criminals convicted of war criminals not be cloned. But despite that, the EU has not taken measures against those who deny genocide and relativise such crimes. /Periscope
