FIFA decides: This is the most beautiful goal of the 2026 World Cup.

FIFA has confirmed that the goal, scored by Cape Verde's Remarker, Sydney Lopes Cabral, has been chosen as the most beautiful goal of the 2026 World Cup.
With this achievement, the left defender makes history as the first footballer representing an African national and wins this prestigious award in a World Champions.
The award was given thanks to the spectacular goal it achieved in meeting the 1/8th phase of the final against Argentina. During the extra time, Cabral passed by in elegant fashion Alexis Mac Alisterin with a brilliant drive and then struck accurately from the border of the area, leaving no opportunity for goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez.
Even though Cape Green was eliminated after an automobile suffered at the last moments of overtime, the historic journey to among the world's 16 best teams, at the first ever appearance in the World Cup, remained one of the most special and surprising stories of the tournament.
Already, Sidny Lopes Cabral's masterpiece has been officially perpetuated by FIFA, as World 2026's top goal has been declared, providing a special place in World Champions' history.
