Over 10,000 undeclared euros are found in Vermica, a portion of the sum seized

According to Kosovo Customs, the vehicle has attracted officials' attention due to the manner of entry to the border point, while during the raid it has been found that the driver of the vehicle owned a amount of money exceeding the legal limit of 10,000 euros, without declaring it.

After verification, authorities have implemented the first measures by law and confiscated 25 percent of the undeclared amount. For the rest of the monetary means, documentation that testifies to their legitimate background has been requested.

The case has been processed according to legal competencies and will continue to be addressed under administrative procedures for full determining circumstances.

Kosovo customs has recalled that any traveler who carries 10,000 euros or more in cash willing or other monetary means is obliged to declare them to the relevant authorities, as non-accession brings legal consequences.
