How can you protect yourself from mosquitoes during hot days?

The current weather in Britain is creating ideal conditions for large mosquito growth, one expert has warned.
Mojca Cristane, associate professor of medical entomology at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), has stressed that some species of mosquitoes that can transmit serious diseases such as dengue fever and Zika can be established in the United Kingdom within a few years, as a result of climate change.
The weather conditions in Britain are actually perfect for mosquitoes. They like the warmth and also the remaining water, where they lay their” eggs, she said.
To protect yourself from stinging, use insect repelant and cover your skin with long sleeves, and wear socks in the evening, as mosquitoes tend to bite around the ankles”, she said.
According to Christan, invasive species that can transmit viruses such as dengue, chicuongya, and Zika, including Aedes albopictus (Asian tiger mouth) and Aedes aegypitis (Algyp), are currently not present in the United Kingdom, although Aedes albopacttus eggs have been discovered there.
However, some of these viruses, such as dengue and chicungiya, are already found in Europe, especially in the Mediterranean region.
Modeling studies suggest that, by the 1920 ' s, the climate in London and surrounding areas is likely to create conditions that favour the stable transmission of dengue fevers.
