KFOR gathers religious communities in Pec: Through dialogue we can build the future

Regional West Command (RC-W), within the NATO mission in Kosovo, KFOR, it has organised at Camp “Villaggio Italy” in Pec an interreligious meeting with the “over the choice of dialogue, we can build the future”, gathering representatives of the Muslim, Orthodox, Catholic, Jewish and tariff communities from the RC-W area of responsibility.
The meeting was conducted by RC-W Commander Colonel Federico Mora, and aimed at promoting dialogue, understanding and strengthening trust among religious communities in Kosovo.
According to KFOR's announcement, the event served as an open and impartial forum for exchanging ideas and promoting co-existence. Discussions were enriched by young people's reflections on peace, mutual respect and shared living, while students at the School of Art in Pec presented artistic works that conveyed messages of dialogue and harmony.
“Through the choice of dialogue, we can build the future”, was the central message of activity, which highlighted the importance of communication and co-operation between different communities.
KFOR stressed that such organisations reflect the mission's continued commitment to co-operate with all communities in Kosovo, promoting mutual understanding and trust, as well as contributing to a safe environment for all citizens.
It is recalled that KFOR continues to implement its mandate, based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244, to ensure a safe environment and freedom of movement for all people living in Kosovo, acting impartially and in close co-ordination with Kosovo police and EULEX.
