Common exercise, the Great National Guard and KSF deepen co-ordination

A senior delegation of the Iowa National Air Guard has visited Kosovo under the exercise “Stinnel Sica”, meeting with members of the Kosovo Security Force and American military personnel engaged in joint exercises.
The visit was held on June 10th 2026, where Brigadier General Mark Muckey, deputy Austrian general of the Iowa National Air Guard, along with Chief of Command Sgt. Sara Orwig and Chief of Command Sergeant Jason Lehmann closely observed the activities of the 132nd Arm Communication Squad during the exercise.
While in Kosovo, the US delegation also engaged with Kosovo Security Force leaders, discussing continued co-operation within the framework of the State Partnership Programme between Iowa and Kosovo.
Controversial “Stinnel Sica” serves to strengthen interoperability, exchange of professional experiences and advance communication capacities between partner forces, reflecting the close and long-term partnership between Kosovo and the American state of Iowa.
According to organisers, the event confirms common commitment to increased operational readiness and deepening co-operation in the area of security and defence.
