Mourinho personally intervened to block the departure of Real Star

Real Madrid has been very active in merkato since the appointment of Jose Mourinho as coach for the upcoming season, with the aim of ending the two-year drought without large trophies.
“Los Blancos” has seen Barcelona win the League for two consecutive years, while itself has not been near titles at the King's Champions League or Cup since the double triumph in 2017.
Mourinho has started rebuilding the team by focusing mainly on defence, with Ibrahima Konatés transferring after his contract with Liverpool expired, as well as the approach of Marc Cucurellas from Chelsea.
Meanwhile, the Portuguese coach has personally intervened to stop the departure of a new offensive player, Gonzalo Garcías.
The 22-year-old striker held 39 presentations last season with Real Madrid, marking 8 goals and providing 3 assistings in all races, under the direction of Xabi Alonso and Álvaro Arbeloas.
Initially, it was thought García would leave this summer to find more space, but according to reports by journalist Matteo Moretto and “Marcha”, Mourino wants to assess for himself before making a final decision.
García may play in some position of attack, but his main role is that of the central attacker, which puts him in direct competition with Kyian Mbpé for a title location.
The 22-year-old also saw his former academy partner, Victor Muñoz, leave for Liverpool this summer.
Muñoz first moved to Ossauna to earn more minutes, and this opened the way for a transition to Premierliga and a place in Spain's World Cup representative.
This means that García could have followed a similar course, but Mourinho's decision suggests another plan: keep it in Madrid and perhaps turn it into a more important part of the team./GazetaExpress/
