AGK backs RTK's three unions protest after salary delay

The Kosovo Journalists' Association stands in full solidarity with journalists, cameramen and other RTK employees, who have not yet received pre-month salaries.

The three unions, the RTK Independent Union, the RTK Workers' Union and the Media Union of Radio Kosovo have warned protests Tuesday. The AGK supports this protest and joins it.

The Kosovo Journalists' Association is alarmed by RTK's current financial situation, which has again left 700 employees without salaries.

AGK asks the RTK Board and Management to work on finding an urgent solution so that wages can be processed as soon as possible.

AGK also asks the Government of Kosovo, which continues to split the minimum budget for RTK to help within its competencies overcome this serious situation. At the same time, the AGK asks the Government to ban interventions and pressure on editorial independence of the Public Broadcaster.

AGK contributes to a dignified working environment for RTK workers, a part of which now and at times face pressures of various forms from management.
