Terrible accident in Turkey: The bus is involved in flames, eight people die among them, one child

A serious traffic accident has shocked Turkey, where at least eight people have died and 33 others have suffered injuries after a bus crashed and was subsequently engulfed in flames.


According to local media, the accident occurred in the Denizli province, when the bus traveling from Izmir to Antalya lost control and crashed into the street-side fences, broadcast Klankosova.tv.




At the time of the accident, 38 passengers and three staff members were on the bus.

After the violent crash, the vehicle broke out in flames, causing tragic consequences.

Among the victims are a nine-month-old baby baby, baby's father and bus driver.

Authorities have also confirmed that 33 people have suffered injuries, some of whom have been sent to hospitals in the area.

Emergency teams, firefighters and police have immediately intervened at the scene to rescue passengers and bring the situation under control, while investigations into the causes of Sunday's morning accident have begun.

Turkish authorities are expected to publish more details in the days ahead regarding the circumstances that led to this fatal accident.
