Prizren prosecution presents indictment for misuse and public procurement fraud

The Constitutional Prosecutor in Prizren has filed charges against defendants B.P., and legal person “B. St. P. K.”, due to the suspicion that they have committed criminal work “Use and fraud in public procurement”.


According to the indictment, by the date of 22.12.23 in Dragash, defendant B.P., in the quality of the person authorised by the economic operator “B.S.P. K.” allegedly deliberately violated public procurement regulations by failing to comply with obligations stemming from the public contract, titled “Substitute with sixteen pieces of photocopying equipment for KK school Dragash”.

On the other hand, in the prosecution's announcement, it is known that during the contract's realisation, instead of handing over 16 new photocopiers, as was signed by contract, 16 new re-fabricated devices have been delivered, respectively, old equipment serviced in which new rescue devices have been placed.

With these actions, the Dragas municipality has been subjected to economic and budget damage, as re-booked equipment has lower usage stability, more maintenance require and can create additional costs compared to new equipment”, the report said.

Also, the prosecution has filed charges against the judicial person “B. St. P. K.”, as the winning economic operator of the high contract, for the same criminal offence.

The prosecutor of the case in the case of the establishment of the indictment has proposed to the court that, after maintaining judicial review, management of their evidence and assessment, the high-ranking defendants for the criminal work they are accused of being convicted of and sentenced to law.
