Police Reveal Operational Plan for Election Management

Police have unveiled the operational plan for early elections on June 7th, listing the four phases of action, with the first already realised.
Kosovo's “Police, based on the country's positive laws and institutional authorisations, have in time drafted the operational order and made all plans regarding the early elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, which will be held on June 07th 2026 in the Republic of Kosovo”, the Kosovo Police announced.
“Beyond the operational order, a sufficient number of police officials primarily of public order are set to engage, but according to the need, police officials of various profiles, belonging to different units within the Kosovo Police, including the necessary logistical equipment, in order to provide security and the management of the” election process.
The operational plan includes four phases: the pre-election or assessment preparation period, engagement in providing security during the election campaign, ensuring security on Election Day (Z), the period following elections that envisions transportation under KK's lead and security, sensitive material and until the end of the process.
The first “Face has already been realised and now we are implementing the second phase of engagement in providing security during the election campaign, to proceed according to plan with other phases, until the end of the” election process.
“The initiative and prosecution of every criminal act against the right of voting and the company of all procedural measures against anyone that conflicts with the country's positive laws that regulate/sancitate illegal actions against free and democratic elections, in co-ordination and in close co-operation with the State Prosecutor according to action plans and preliminary agreements based on law”.
They have also announced that officials/investigators have been appointed to regional directors for handling any possible cases that connect to the election process, under the authorisations of prosecutors scheduled for the case by the State Prosecutor.
Also, “have been appointed police co-ordinators with the CEC, as well as guidelines for police officials regarding their legal duties and responsibilities during the” election process.
