Gas issue, Gashi: VV was the main object of coal gasification, we have the power to vote American projects

Arben Gashi from the Democratic League of Kosovo has said that, the country, Schee, has the institutional, political or economic power to delay projects of American strategic interest, and that, as he has said, a deviation from this framework puts Kosovo at risk of economic and political isolation.
Gashi has also said that the fundamental challenge is the lack of a serious state energy strategy.
For the sake of truth, the Vetevendosje Movement has been the main objector of the gasification project led by General Wesley Clark during the 2013202050 period, he wrote among other things.

Kosovo does not, nor should it pretend to have, institutional, political or economic power, to block or delay projects of American strategic interest. This is a reality that has not changed much larger and more consolidated states. Any deviation from this framework puts Kosovo at risk of economic and political isolation.
But that's not the real problem. The fundamental challenge is the lack of a serious state energy strategy. Instead of a long-term vision, Kosovo continues with ad-hoc decisions, without consensus and sustainable developmental orientation. This damages not only the economy and energy security but also the country's institutional credibility in relation to strategic partners in the first place with the United States.
In this context, discussions on the construction of new coal capacity, coal gasification, the key to international gas pipeline networks, as well as the development of solar, wind and multiple-use water resources should be addressed as a strategic state issue, not political improvised.
For the sake of truth, the Vetevendosje Movement has been the main objector of the gasification project led by General Wesley Clark during the 20132020.
Kosovo has the potential to become a regional energy actor and net exporter of energy, but only with vision, plan and long-term consensus.
