Three mountaineers die after falling from the highest peak of North America

Three Latvian climbers have died after falling to McKinley Mountain in Park and the Denali National Reserve in Alaska, while a fourth member of the team survived and survived, an alpine organisation from their homeland, Latvia, announced.
The US National Park Service reported that four climbers from a seven-member expedition fell on Wednesday near Denali Pass, which is about 640m below the 6,100m summit of McKinley, the highest peak in North America.
Survivor Saved from a mountainous pond to 5,400m high and later moved to a hospital transportation ambulance, the agency said.
“Operations for the three remaining climbers have gone from a search-saving mission to a rescue operation”, the National Parks Agency said in an online statement, adding that “does not publish information about the victims until 72 hours after the announcement of relatives”.
