Modric greets Milan, Real Madrid welcomes him again but not as football player

Luka Modric's future seems to be heading towards a new chapter. According to Italian and Spanish media reports, the Croatian midfielder is close to leaving Milan, while after completing his career as a player can return to Real Madrid in a leading role.

The president of the Madrile club, Florentino Peres, has reportedly left the doors open to the Croatian legend to return to “Santiago Bernabau” after retirement, with the possibility of obtaining an executive or advisory post within the club structure.

Modric, who wrote his story with Real Madrid winning 28 trophies during 13 years at the club, is seriously considering the end of his career after the 2026 World Cup. However, his connection to “Los Blancos” remains strong and the return to Madrid seems only a matter of time.

If the scenario is confirmed, Modric will not return to play, but to launch a new adventure in the direction of the club where it became one of the greatest legends in Real Madrid's history.
