Japan's quake of 6.4 magnitude

A powerful 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck the northeast of Japan, without causing tsunami warning, Japan's Meteorological Agency reported.
Seismic swing occurred at 20:22 local time, with an epithetic on the shores of the Miyagi Prefecture, at a depth of about 46 miles [46 km].
According to Japanese authorities, the earthquake reached a low “5 on the Japanese Seismic Scale, which measures the shaking force on the surface and reaches level 7 in the most affected areas.
Meanwhile, four - face intensity was recorded in Iwate Prefecture and other parts of Miyagit. Both Prefectures are located along the Pacific Coast of Japan, an area known for high seismic activity.
So far no major material casualties or damages are reported, while authorities are monitoring the situation for possible follow-up.
