The head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo has held the next meeting, in which it discussed political developments in the country, organisational priorities and the process of domestic elections.
During the meeting as indicated in a statement, it was stressed that the PDK is entering an important phase of organisational consolidation through internal elections, which will be held in line with the party's station and on principles of internal democracy, transparency, fair competition and respect for the will of membership.
“Mayory estimated that this election process represents an important opportunity for strengthening structures, including new energy, and building a stronger, more united and prepared PDK for political challenges and responsibilities awaiting Kosovo.
Also, the mayorship discussed developments related to the judicial process in The Hague's Specialised Chambers, voicing the expectation that the decision will be a release for former KLA leaders”, the statement said.
The chief stressed that, “despite political challenges, The PDK has maintained its unity, organisation and position as the main opposition party in the country, remaining in force with the largest number of opposition MPs”.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo says in the announcement it remains committed to respecting the will of membership, strengthening domestic democracy and continuing the commitment to building a more developed, safer and fully integrated Kosovo in Euro-Atlantic institutions.
