Trump loses a large case in the Supreme Court - every baby born in the United States automatically receives American citizenship

The Supreme Court of the United States has brought down US President Donald Trump's attempt to end the right of automatic citizenship for people born on American territory.
The court ruling has blocked Trump's executive order, which was intended to change a legal principle implemented for more than 100 years.
The issue was one of the president's key points for immigration, though numerous lawyers had raised questions on his legal basis, writes Can.
With this decision remains the current interpretation of the American Constitution, under which every person born in the United States is automatically considered American citizens, whether his parents are citizens of the country or not.
The decision constitutes a significant political blow to Trump, who during his campaign had promised to put an end to so-called <x0 maternityisation of birth” and had imposed restrictions on immigration at the centre of its policies.

Supreme Court Chairman John Roberts wrote the opinion of most judges, including conservative and liberal members of the court.
Meanwhile, three conservative judges -- Clara Thomas, Samuel Alito and Neil Gorsuch -- opposed the verdict.
“Qyteria, then and today, was the right to have the right to participate freely in our political community”, Roberts wrote, referring to the Quartodeciman amendment of the US Constitution, which guarantees citizenship for US-born persons.
The Supreme Court's decision is expected to have a major impact on the ongoing US political debate on immigration and constitutional rights. /Telegraphy/
