Hamza presents the second ruling vow: The crises will be said to STOP, with PDK in government there will be no cities without power

The president and prime ministerial candidate of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Bedri Hamza, has voiced concern about the lack of electricity in the capital's main areas, stressing that this is evidence of the crisis in which the Kurti Government has introduced the country.
Hamza, at a media conference he developed without light and voice, said the PDK will govern the energy sector with transparency, professionalism and long-term vision.
Kosovo is in an economic, social, political and crisis of hope. And responsibility is clear: The Kurti government. Today, we have no electricity, but we are here just to talk about the current and infrastructure investments that are missing from the country now six years from”, he said.
Hamza said Kosovo citizens deserve safe energy, more affordable prices and a state that plans for the future.
We're going to tell the STOP together. And together we will also change Kosovo. I pledge that with the government that I will lead, days like this will never be repeated. There will be no more cities without electricity or failures that paralyse the lives of citizens. The state will function with plans, responsibilities and concrete results, not with improvised and excuses”, Hamza said.
Hamza presented the second point of his governing programme, which concerns investments in energy, modern infrastructure and new technologies.
“Energy, as you know, is the basis on which every modern economy is built. Without safe, affordable, and stable energy supplies, there is no economic development, no jobs, and no welfare for families. Therefore, energy will be our government's national priority. We're gonna take it off. VV for electricity, because electricity is basic, not good for luxury. The VAT removal will immediately lower energy bills, increase citizens' purchasing power and contribute to social stability”, has pledged the head of PDK.
Program PDK envisions modernisation of the thermocentral plant “Kosovo B”, construction of the thermal power plant “New Kosovo” with capacity of around 500 MW, central heating systems in at least five Kosovo cities, investments in solar energy, development of gas infrastructure and implementation of Kosovo's energy link.
“Krahas power, we will continue with investments in modern infrastructure, on roads and on railways. The Democratic Party of Kosovo engages in completing major road projects, such as highways for Gjilan, Podujevo, Gjakova and others; development of railway infrastructure; realising the Kosovo Albanian railway connection as a strategic economic and national project. And, in the end, we will invest in new technologies and in the digital transformation of Kosovo. We will do this by supporting the development of the IT sector, innovation and startup, but also by expanding digital infrastructure and creating conditions for our young people to build their career in Kosovo”, Hamza pledged.
On the other hand, he thanked citizens who are supporting the PDK vision to change Kosovo.
I want to thank the citizens of Ferizaj, Gjakova and Peja for our hospitality, support and participation in our gatherings. Everywhere we see that citizens are tired of crises and ready for a new course. We will continue in every city in Kosovo, so that together with citizens we can build the road towards change”, Hamza said.
