EU membership negotiations, Rama: Albania at highest point

Albania's Prime Minister Edi Rama has provided details concerning the opening of the closing phase of negotiations for membership in the European Union.
At the “Week marks”, Rama has declared that on May 26th, Albania has climbed to the highest point in the process of integration into the European family.

He has said this is an extremely significant moment of this path towards membership.
The “is a moment that certainly comes with a lot of satisphaction, but it also comes with many responsibilities, since this is not just a success on the road to negotiations and this is not a date on the integration calendar, but is a result of the deep transformation our country has made in the last decade”, he has said.
Rama has declared that reforms have been extremely difficult and challenging.
It is significant that the European Union confirms the fact that the successful fulfillment of all tasks so far, in those areas related to justice, the fight against corruption, and the functioning of democratic institutions”, Rama has added further.
According to him, the last phase is not easy, but requires great responsibility to complete negotiations by the end of 2027.
We have an intermediate space in 2028 and have Albania's major goal of membership in the European Union by 2030, the Albanian prime minister said.
