CEC: Posting vote to begin on 21 May

The Central Election Commission held meetings, where it decided on the adoption of change and completion of the task plan for organising early elections for the Kosovo Assembly.

Under the CEC's decision, the planned post office vote will begin on May 25th will begin on 21st 2026, reportedly sent to the media.

This change of schedule is made after the announcement by the contractor for postal services that the DHL company and postal services in some European countries will not work on May 25, 2026 due to an official holiday, and as a result, during May 22nd, there will be no distribution and acceptance of remittances. Therefore, to avoid delays in sending and accepting ballot packages, preparation activities have been undertaken that processing and sending the ballot package to each voter registered for the post office vote take place earlier”, the CEC reports.
